Chamber Music Pearls – Brahms's Salon
During this exceptional concert, masterpieces by one of the most outstanding composers of Romanticism will be performed – a creator whose fate is intricately intertwined with the history of Wrocław.
Johannes Brahms was a frequent visitor to Wrocław, and in 1879, the University of Wrocław honored him with the title of Doctor Honoris Causa. Today's concert will take place in the historic Oratorium Marianum, belonging to the University of Wrocław – a place that perfectly captures the atmosphere of Brahms' era and provides an ideal space for his chamber music.
The program will feature:
- Trio in E-flat major, Op. 40 for horn, violin, and piano,
- Sonata in G major, Op. 78 for violin and piano.
This is music full of lyricism, nobility, and subtle emotions – showcasing Brahms as a master of chamber dialogue.
Performers:
- Agnieszka Guzek-Szymańska – violin,
- Wawrzyniec Szymański – horn,
- Cristina Allés Dopico – piano.
We invite you to a unique evening where history, architecture, and music will meet in a place particularly connected to the heritage of the University of Wrocław.
